2010 FLY CASTING DEMONSTRATIONS
Fly casting demonstrations on the river featuring a wide range of single and double handed casting techniques will take place at one hour intervals between 11.00 and 16.00 on each day in accordance with the programme below. Alastair (Ally) Gowans APGAI & FFF Master fly fishing instructor, writer and guide and James Tomlinson STANIC, instructor and tournament casting expert will perform demonstrations and answer any questions you have about fly fishing.

CASTING CLINIC
No matter what your fly casting problem is, our team of qualified fly casting instructors will help you solve it in minutes. Fifteen minute casting lessons are available every day. Adults £5.00 Children (11 to 15 years) £2.00 per session. There is a big demand for the Casting Clinic so book early at The Fishing Control Tent and ensure your space!
FLY CASTING COMPETITIONS
Fly casting competitions for Amateur Ladies, Gentlemen and Juniors (16yrs and under) will be held on Saturday and Sunday only.
Please note that those who won a SGF fly casting competition prize during the previous three years are not eligible to win this year.
The Kenmore Salmon Fly Distance, Orvis Trout Fly Distance and Orvis Trout Fly Accuracy. The winner of each event each day in each category will be presented with a prize voucher. Entry fees are payable at The Fishing Control Tent. Juniors £1.00. Adults £3.00 per entry.
The Scottish Game Fair Challenge Trophy (Sunday 4th July only) £6.00 per entry. (Combination of salmon fly distance, trout fly distance and trout fly accuracy). Prizes for the top scoring gentleman and lady are fly rods donated by Sharpes of Aberdeen.
The Kenmore Open Scottish Spey Casting Championship (Sunday 4th July only £5.00). Prize for the winner and trophy holder is two nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast with salmon fishing for two people at The Kenmore Hotel. Best lady will receive a piece of hand engraved Kenmore Hotel crystal.
PRIZE PRESENTATIONS Fishing Control at 17:00 each day
We extend our thanks to members of the Stormont Angling Club and other volunteers, too many to mention, who help with the running and judging of the competitions, and to Orvis UK for providing the fly fishing tackle used for the competitions.

Fisherman's Row welcomes thousands of anglers each year who fish for bargains amongst the many trade stands with the opportunity to test and compare rods, reels and lines. Anglers can also compete in the friendly atmosphere of the fly casting competitions held on the River Tay, or relax and admire the skills of the expert demonstrators who are delighted to share their secrets at the ever popular Orvis Fly Casting Clinic.
